Public School
So I was looking around tumblr and I found out that some people have posted things they learned from going to private school. As I went to public school this will be a public school version of that list.
- It is possible to learn in an environment that looks like a prison.
- Ghetto kids can be smart.
- Sadly most are not.
- Drug dealers like standing around the corners of schools when class gets out.
- Don’t stay late at an event, your likely to get caught in the cross fire.
- Find out what color your local gangs rival wears, DON’T wear that color.
- “Hey white chick” is apparently an acceptable name to call someone.
- The scarier people think you are the safer you are.
- Being able to blend into different groups of people (ghetto, prep, drama nerds, etc.) is a useful skill.
- When a black chick takes her heels off it is time to disappear (apparently they make great weapons).
- Going to college makes you a genius.
- Don’t be a snitch.
- Tutor people if you are smart, it makes people less inclined to attack you.
- Don’t trust tap water, the pipes can always be rusty (seriously we had signs over the water fountains that told you not to drink from them the water was so bad).
- Just because you happen to live in the grand old US of A don’t expect your local public education to be worth a damn because when you get out into the rest of the world your formally genius self will be at best average.
